There's a senior community center near the park. They have groups there practice tai chi and other kung fu/wu shu exercises. I found it easier to focus on one instructor, rather than the whole group of people. Here's a portrait of the fellow.
These are very nice gesture drawings. Not enough people who want to be artists actually spend any time drawing from life. I'm happy to see that you use your eyes.
Thanks for stopping by my blog! If you're in San Diego this year, lets have dinner. (I know I could have had dinner with you LAST year, but... well, I think of that as an opportunity missed once, not to be missed again!)
Hey, thanks for swinging by too! I figure that life drawing is easier than making stuff up. Not to mention, it's been making my lines more fluid for other work.
I don't know yet about SDCC - the lack of a nearby hotel space looks bleak this year. I'll know for sure by the end of this month.
May I recommend the downtown international youth hostel. A bunk is 30 bucks a night and it's very convenient! That's where I'm staying! If you want to stay there, you'd better call TODAY to make reservations!
